The glow in your eyes

Laying on the Persian rug
I gave you warmth with a blanket
And you gave me a smile
A sigh, a breathe, then another sigh
For the glow in your eyes
For that knowing in your words

Click, another camera-shot
Look the other way
Smile
Turn your head up

Tonight, there were four
The Times, will come, before we know it
We have a world to build
A world to love

Click, another camera-shot
I look into your eyes and ask:
Will you help me with my attire?
You giggle, extend your arm for me to lift
I feel your weight standing up

Something in my heart sings
For I am blessed to be in your presence
We wander into the closet
You smile at the bathtub’s sight
This looks big enough

Something in my heart leaps to dance
The glow in your eyes
“You are cute” you say
And I have been thinking that of you a thousand times
Blessed as ever for your presence

I lay by your side
And gaze
I gaze with obsession
The glow in your eyes
Tells me everything I need to know
Soothes me like no words can
Your hand on my cheek
Your smile

Our lips meet
The whole world whirls around
Hope rushes from my heart and soul

A sailor in your sea

A venturer in your forest

A child caressed by your divine

My hand finds your hands
A man in awe of his woman

A woman that sees

A woman that knows

A willow that seeds

Awe and peace

In the young boy’s heart
